Our Story

Miles Aviation Consultancy Ltd was founded in 2014 by Simon Miles. Based in Simon's home city of Brighton, on the south coast of the UK, the company provides a range of Ground Operations and Ground Handling SME related services and solutions to the commercial, business and military aviation sectors. 

Simon started his career in the airline industry back in 1982. During that time, he has held various front-line, head office and managerial positions with five major international airlines including Virgin Atlantic Airways, British Airways, Qatar Airways, Emirates and Garuda Indonesia, both within the UK and overseas.

The focus for the majority of his career has predominately been around the ground operations field.  It has included an extensive scope of activities such as Ramp, Aircraft Turnaround,  Baggage Handling, Customer Operations, Load Planning and De/Anti-Icing. 

He has worked very extensively within the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Australia, Africa, North & South America and the Caribbean. Living overseas, Simon also has experience and worked closely with a variety of business cultures and practices.

In addition to existing professional qualifications, Simon is a fully qualified and highly experienced auditor, including IOSA/ISAGO, a qualified trainer and an approved IATA instructor for Ground Operations and Safety based training. The company also use a variety of qualified, skilled and experienced associates to undertake a wide range of related activities.
