  • 1. Why is it important?

The removal of contamination from aircraft surfaces in cold and freezing conditions is critical to flight safety. The industry applies the “clean aircraft” concept to ensure all contamination is removed prior to departure, maintaining aerodynamic performance and preventing safety risks during flight.

  • 2. Who should attend?

De-Icing Operator, De-Icing vehicle driver, De-Icing Supervisor, Inspector, Instructor, Coordinator & Head of Training. We can also provide training for Flight & Cabin Crew. See SAE AS6286 section 3.2 "Levels of Qualification" for applicable levels.

Please note: we only provide this training course for our clients as an 'in company' training course. Unfortunately, we don't offer this course for private individuals.

  • 3. Course objectives

To provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively carry out aircraft de-icing and anti-icing operations in accordance with industry standards.
