Risk Management & Safety Investigations Training Course
Risk and Safety training course aimed at Managers and Supervisors.
Conformant with the latest requirements of IATA AHM 1110 GEN05 & 09.
Overview
Navigating the complex landscape of aviation safety regulations, risk management frameworks, and industry best practices can be challenging. This Risk Management & Safety Investigations Training Course is designed to simplify these concepts by breaking them down into clear, practical components, with a strong focus on ground operations and ground handling safety.
The course begins with a comprehensive introduction to Safety Management Systems (SMS), covering its four key pillars and how they underpin effective safety performance in aviation. Participants will then explore core elements of risk management, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies, with detailed coverage of industry-recognised tools such as BowTie analysis and ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) principles.
The second half of the course focuses on aviation safety investigation techniques, providing practical guidance on how to gather evidence, analyse incidents, and determine root causes. This enables participants to contribute effectively to safety investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a highly interactive, classroom-based training course, incorporating group exercises, discussions, and role play to reinforce learning outcomes and real-world application. For this reason, it is best delivered in person rather than remotely.
Designed in alignment with the latest IATA AHM 1110 GEN05 & 09 standards, this course is ideal for professionals involved in aviation safety, ground handling, compliance, and operational risk management.
