Overview
The Managing Ramp & Airside Safety course focuses on infrastructure, equipment, personnel and the processes that operate in airside and ramp areas. The course details the "how, what and why" of airside and ramp safety, how risks are assessed and mitigated and the considerations and requirements that make up a safe operating environment.
Participants study a range of topics designed to give them a knowledge base of the airside environment and the various systems and procedures in place to ensure safety is maintained. The roles and responsibilities of regulators and other stakeholders are explored, as well as safety culture, safe working practices, and insight into how to manage equipment, infrastructure and risks. Ideal for auditors, inspectors, and aviation safety teams - this course provides an understanding of how to manage safe, effective aviation operations.
With a focus on industry best practices in safety management, this course is highly practical with relevant real-world examples and case studies supporting module content.

IATA don’t require that a practical element is undertaken as part of this qualification.

This course is available to organisations only and is delivered exclusively on-site at your operation. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer this training to individual participants. If you are looking to become qualified as an individual, we recommend speaking with your employer or ground handling company about arranging training with us.

You can book this course to be delivered at any time of the year and we accept bookings at any time. However, our winter training season typically peaks from September to November each year, and our schedule for that period is often fully booked well in advance. We will always do our best to accommodate requests at short notice.
